At times yes it is difficult to follow but that is what makes such a challenge. Who wants a typical you can guess what will happen next movie? The narrative is very sophisticated, the subject matter complex, it is revealing the depressed mind of it's protagonist which to some may sound difficult to hear – but it is brave, and cinematically brave. It is new. This movie reveals more about a hero and more about his journey to overcome. For me it revealed some of my own dark moments in life and I connected with the subject matter in a very profound way. This may not be a comedy but it reveals much more about our complex self than any other movie I have seen in a long long time. I don't think the reviewer understood the complexities involved here. Definitely see this!

The concept of being avant-garde is at least partially about not being the present norm. Nevertheless, avant-garde of the punk variety has never been awesome in my opinion.
