Al Queda? Really? Considering Pres Obama has essentially bombed them back to the stone age not to mention cut off the snake's head how are they relevant anymore?! Whatever happened to metaphorical villans? Is Nolan one of the few screenwriters still filming such things? Ironically the "Multi-national Corporation Out of Control" and the "Gulf between the Haves and Have Nots" themes from the Verhoven orignal is ironically more relevantly bleeding edge today than they ever were in the 80's.

My fear is that this will be yet another expensive all flash and zero substance film vainly attempting to milk the cinema goer out of their hard earned cash. The result will be an expensive unsatisfying experience, kind of like going to a well advertised whorehouse only to arrive and find leather faced hillbillies in the line up….

You don't get a cast like that, who can pick and choose their paycheck movies, without a decent script, vision and overall concept. Except Samuel L. Jackson.
