Bel Ami is being released in March. Sony partnered with IFC on the film (like they did Salvation Boulevard and London Boulevard).

The fans of Rob are eagerly waiting for more than a year to see this movie. No teens in the audience this time, Bel ami is R-rated. Of course this is a small art house movie, don't expect big BO numbers. The part Rob is playing is totally different from his previous roles. What is interesting is that Rob dares to take challenging, different roles. This year we'll be able to see him as a 19-century social climber, a 17-year old vampire in love with a human girl and a billionaire New-York yuppie who, in an odysee through the city, risks his whole fortune while contemplating about the meaning of his existence.

Jeez, why the double standard for Pattinson's non-Twilight movies indiewire? I haven't heard a peep from you (unless I miss it) when Johnny Depp's Rum Diary flopped big time when it opened wide. And he's a bigger star and have had way more blockbusters under his belt than Pattinson. Pattinson's Remember Me made 19M domestic on a 16M budget and 36M more overseas. Rum Diary made 13M domestic plus 9M overseas on a 45M budget. Go figure.
