On the other side, it is really possible, after the box office bombing of grindhouse i'm sure that Rodriguez wants to play it safe with signing a few great names for the movie.

The mock trailer for Machete was kind of interesting when it played in between a double feature; it was a novelty and it didn't help make Death Proof/Planet Terror any more enjoyable. I couldn't take this seriously or comedically if it was to actually be a movie.
