					<description><![CDATA[Screenwriter, Jon Spaihts, must hate reading these kind of articles (since he wrote the original screenplay that Scott latched onto, and Lindelof subsequently doctored in ways that largely failed onscreen and narratively).  As for Sir Ridley, he sure takes a lot of credit for what Dan O\&#039;Bannon did (discovered H.R. Giger by way of Alejandro Jodorowsky by way of Salvador Dali during the ill-fated Dune production).  Ridley Scott is a fine director, no doubt, but not everything he\&#039;s done has been all that terrific in retrospect.  There are standouts (The Duelists, Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator) but an awful lot of crap, too.  Prometheus falls into this latter category, sadly.]]></description>
