It’s not a place the be juvenile. Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece. The original blade runner was great, but there is huge problems with it. The editing is a bit off, and some scenes are just poorly executed.

The length of the movie is nothing to be knit picking about, 2:45 mins is lot if you’re watching a garbage movie, but I don’t notice the time passing when I’m watching Blade Runner 2049. I hardly ever watch movies twice, but I’ve watched Blade runner 2049 5+ times, and I still plan to watch it several times more.

Blade Runner is highly underrated, And I absolutely OK with that. People want to watch movies where they get the answer quickly and don’t want to make you think, that’s why franchises like Die hard, Star Wars, fast and furious movies, super hero movies are being made every day. If Blade Runner made a lot of money, studios would make them every year, turning it to garbage franchise.

Blade Runner has small audience, and I’d like it to be kept that way.

Sure.. its not like art is subjective or anything and can mean different things to different people. Its the audience that sucks.

I honestly don’t care much about this… but Denis Villeneuve still has to prove himself as a blockbuster director. I have seen two of his acclaimed movies – Sicario and Arrival, and both seemed like half baked attempts at creating a “deep” film. I will take a bona-fide art film any day over what he dishes out in the name of intellectual commercialism.

Silence was so good and it’s one of my favorite novels ever. BR2049 was as good as it could get next to the original, which is quite a feat!

The real problem is the audience nowadays is too stupid and too lazy to sit through cerebral pieces of art. That’s why Fast and furious or Star Wars makes billions of dollars,and arty films like Blade Runner or Silence bomb. Audiences suck.
