Oh to be a film critic and throw rocks at creative efforts from a safe distance. These humbugs have the audacity to ,"re-evaluate" the movies of Ridley Scott and astonishingly they have found Scott to be lacking. However, the lacking is overwhelmingly the problem of the film critics.They just get don't many films these days and so those films are marginalized by the critics. Scott is where he is because he knows how to tell a story and said telling has wide appeal and in general the films make money and become iconic and influential….Alien, Gladiator, Robin Hood, American Gangster, Thelma and Louise and Black Hawk Down. Critics are so wrong so often,as with A.O.Scott's review of Robin Hood,his review was crazy sounding,accusing Scott of making right wing movies, and Scott was wrong and taken to task by Reason ,an online publication. It seems that Scott's take on Robin Hood was inaccurate and they told him so. Thereafter this Reason article was reprinted in the Wall S
