You can\’t force people to accept something that they are not comfortable with. A lot of men have issues with other men because they don\’t know better. We all have a level of ignorance and depicting that in a movie does not make it offensive. Why is everyone now analyzing movies, it\’s comedy and it\’s bringing all the clichés out of the box for everyone to relate with at least one of them.

I don\’t have a problem with people who are different because we are all human beings, what I do have a problem with is, people who want everyone else to think and act according to their norms.

We must accept that everyone has the right to reject certain things and everyone will do, ultimately, whatever they want. Whatever happened to the times when people wouldn\’t let other\’s opinion or habits bother them so much?

I thought the movie was hilarious and I am Latin, just like every employee at King\’s house, so what?

There are people in this world who have a lot of money and hire Latin help. The fact that a movie is depicting that situation does not make anybody a racist.

The better way to stop all this nonsense is to stop bringing more drama to the table.

It is the benign kind of homophobia that much of middle America feels, which is to say they sympathize with gay people\’s plight and accept them as human beings, but nonetheless feel disgusted with male homosexual acts. You can see Kevin Hart\’s character become friends with the gay guy that tried to pick him up at the café. There is an attempt in this movie to further humanize and build sympathy for gays for the moviegoing public (much of whom is limited by a high school education and little if any contact with actual gays). It\’s a step in the right direction, and aught not be condemned.

It reflects their discomfort with male homosexuality, but nonetheless their acceptance of homosexual men as human beings. You can see this in Kevin Hart\’s friendship with the guy who tried to pick him up at the "gay café". Most Americans are willing to accept gays into their lives, and are moved by their plight, but nonetheless have difficulty accepting male homosexual attraction. I think that\’s not something that should be condemned, but welcome as a step in the right direction, and a marker of where middle America is right now.

This film is made for the cross section of Will Ferrell\’s Great White Audience and Kevin Hart\’s mostly black (but also many White) audience. I think this movie can be read as a tongue-in-cheek sendup of how many ordinary (high school educated) Blacks and Whites view each other. There will never be a clear understanding between the races in the near future among the great mass of American people, but at least we can have films that show them how to get along.
