I'm normally really into deep indie movies and Ari Kaarismaki shit, but I liked the whole funny over the top atmospfere in this movie. I loved the funny way it played with prejudices (the rough crack dealer that recognizes a Marc Jacobs dress) and relationships.
I agree: the cat scene was a little too much, but for the remaining part this was one of the most funny and heartwarming movies I've seen in years. It deserves much better.
