I disagree as well. I think Veep is a very good show and it is much better then Girls. It has it's moments, but the characters in Girls seem very superficial and unrealistic to me. I often find myself rolling my eyes at the girls in Girls because they do something even a girl with NO self esteem and half a brain would not do. The show Veep is NOT meant to be realistic or meant to present an inside view of how political offices are run. It is meant to be more like "The Office", where it pokes fun at the ridiculous nature of politics and politicians.

I completely agree. On many other sites, the boards have been swamped with adoration for the show, but it's all so much. I find "Girls" a much superior show in general, and the tweet from the interviewer really annoyed me too.

I have to disagree with you. This show was great in it's first season. At least twice an episode, I found myself rewinding to re-watch a great line or moment.

Uneven? This show was rock solid. Iannucci is like a humble but as-talented Sorkin. Loved Girls but this was on another league.

I'm a little confused as to why you insist on thinking this is an inferior show to (the rather predictable, and certainly not liberating) Girls.

Every episode ofhis show I've seen has been a far better piece of television than Girls.
