Good review on the whole. However, I thought it was more a metaphor on death which has no explanation, and you don\'t know when it will happen or what happens after death. This simple equation is more unsettling and the characters were faced with the same questions - when, if, how will I \"vanish\" which caused them to make irrational decisions and \"make plans\" to get out of the city. I must admit I could have done without the croation reference, it MADE you seem to want answers when really there were no answers.
