Thank you for posting this great review, Gabe. I liked all of the previous Universal Soldier movies, but this one managed to slip under the radar. I only discovered it because I had a friend what I work with at DISH over, and we were looking through the capacious video on demand section available on my DISH Hopper DVR. My friend put up a half hearted argument against watching it, but I vetoed him and we watched it anyway. I expected something like the previous direct to TV entries of the series, but Hyams really surprised me with this movie. Not only does it have some very well executed action sequences, but Hyams manages to make the film thoughtful and intriguing in a way that I have yet to see from any other action movie.

Gabe's passion while writing this review is evidence enough this film needs seeing. The trailer looks awesome. Must be the first time in the history of cinema a fifth sequel to a franchise is better than the original!
