I also disagree completely with this reviewer. It's like he's disappointed that it has comic book elements like Viper and The (altered) Silver Samurai. Disappointed that it's not an adaptation of the storyline from the books. He's critical that is has all these elements of Japanese culture (which he calls cliches) that were IN the comic book. In an interview they even said they purposely wanted to meld the Japan in the comic book with real modern day Japan. Too many villains?? There's only ONE villain. There's bad guys, people to fight, antagonists, sure, but I wouldn't call them the big bad. The reason the guy was telling Logan he had nothing to live for etc, was to convince Logan to cooperate....not because that's how Logan felt. HOW did the guy know this about Logan? Could it be the giant file he had and the fact he was obsessed?? That was easy to figure out. I really don't see the big deal about the conclusion of the movie. I pretty much disagree completely about everything said about it. I guess he was watching it, forgot it was a superhero movie, and then cried foul when such elements show up in the finale.

I totally disagree with this reviewer. I loved the movie. I'm not a comic book fan but my son is. I have taken him to every Xmen movie and this one was my absolute favorite. I laughed, I shouted at the screen, I was at the edge of my seat. This movie actually had a story line! Wow, usually it's just Jackman posing and roughing everyone up. Loved it.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who thought "the wolverine" was blend, generic and very messy theme wise.it feels as if it was made for 12 year olds who havent seen anything else.20 minutes into the film you know where everything is going ....in actual fact the whole movie could have happened in 30 minutes.disappointing movie.

'' Mangold’s very incoherent action comedy “Knight and Day”''

Knight and Day is a great movie, filled with great action set pieces, a LOT of laughs, and a great chemistry between Cruise, who we can tell had a lot of fun, an Diaz. If there's a reason to watch a Mangold movie, is because he made Knight and Days.
