I just saw the movie this evening. I understand the cut most folks were reviewing was 2hrs and 18min. This one was 1hr 44min. Not entirely sure what was left out aside from the railcar scene with Razor and Gong Er. I don't know anything about the Chinese cinema aside from Bruce Lee's work and "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". What got me into the movie was that I was curious about the guy who got Bruce Lee started. I liked the movie, but yes it was disjointed, especially when Gong Er started her flashbacks. At the end a woman next to me commented that she didn't know the film was about a woman. Can you get any more disjointed than that?!
