true, judging a film from the first frame can be quite the misstep…it\’s often best to let things unfold and (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised by what\’s revealed…then again, shit is shit, and it stinks from the get go…

It\’s sad to see Florian get his reputation tarnished so badly by this. There is really no one else he can blame as he rewrote the script and was very exacting about what he wanted on film and from his actors. I have to wonder, as Jeff Wells did on his site, how a film that was pushed ahead by the studio, end up as one it wanted to hide a few months later. Did Florian do a drastic re-edit that resulted in a far different film? Angelina and Johnny will have no problem bouncing back from this even if they may be disappointed that their trust in Florian was misplaced. But Florian may have burned any chance of becoming a top Hollywood director which is a pity.

Hating the film from the very first shot is, in my opinion, not a reflection of the movie but more a commentary on the reviewer himself.
