It\'s shameful that the first thing on every article one reads on the internet is some moron nit-picking grammar or some other bullshit issue. Why don\'t we engage with the content and discuss that, rather than perceived slights against the incontrovertible rules of grammar? Because we are morons, that\'s why.

The Sunset Limited, as brought to the screen by Mr. Jones, is beautifully executed, acted, and presented. The whole film is a weighty back and forth with excursions into memory that builds to an incredible crescendo as Mr. Jones absolutely ruins Mr. Jackson with his dour nihilism and absolute despair.

And Bob Jack, I\'m sorry you\'re such a moron you can\'t handle a few big words and a distinct lack of car chases in your movies. Maybe stick with lighter fare in the future.

1 of all excuse my poor English, but, i think that the characters stand for something else. white is a professor, reference to Jesus (the Teacher); he claims to be the darkness dressed in daylight clothing ( where jesus was the light, revealed in human form; in this case he is nothing, useless, when believers see him as one worth saving); jesus died for his cause in order to achieve a higher state, where white seeks the same and both view death as an escape. white seems to be a preacher, a teacher in his own right, but instead of a useless existence prefers a quick death (which is a heart beat away). the irony in this is the fact that christianity is not a religion of life, but a religion of death, for it is its final goal, the same goal that is available for a convict, but not for a intellectual, that uses reason instead of hope.

It\'s contemporary American interpretation of \"Waiting For Godot.\" What more needs to be said.

...except that I\'d like to believe that Black was Jules Winnfield. I\'d like to, and I\'ll read it that way the next time that I watch it, but I don\'t believe that was the intention of anyone involved in the production.

Yeah, but the film was B-O-R-I-N-G. At least it was HBO because I\'d be pised if I had to pay.

I think you missed the point. My take is that it was an angel trying to talk a devil into coming back to heaven.
Don\'t know what a devil\'s equivalent of an angel is....
Anyway, we all have opinions

Very disappointing writing, production, acting, etc. Jackson overacts and emotes, Jones the opposite. Trite rendition of human existential dilemma by someone with such weighty intellectual and artistic credentials. Play fails to engage and stir us and the fact it made it to this level of notoriety and exposure itself reveals how subjectively enamoured of celebrity reputation and hype we\'ve become as a so-called \"culture\". Also, \"N____\" word usage so passe and embarassingly shocking for 2011 that C.M. should be ashamed as artist and person. Could go on but....

I agree with Jose. The poor grammar is careless and truly discredits this review, although I only read it because I was fascinated by how weak this interpretation of the content is. I haven\'t seen the film, but have read the book. I believe the point was to provoke thoughts about heavy issues, not to provide clear answers as there is no easy way to answer questions about life, God, and loss. I guess if you\'re looking for something mindless and action-packed, this probably isn\'t the film/book for you.

I havent seen this film. But now i would like to. I have conversations like this often-and with strangers! Is this a trend-moving a little away from entertainment to...enlightenment?! If so, things could get really interesting as that is a field seldom explored openly...I say that Tommy and Samuel are taking us where few gone before, as the Truth is so much more than just a matter of black and white.

I mean, seriously

\"When the brief moments of the fine music by Marco Beltrami burbles up here and there the film seems to moving onto a grander statement but those instances are fleeting as the score fades so do any hopes that the material will elevate itself off the page.\"
