However, I would hope that the government would spend the money capturing real terrorist that are presently in their living rooms plotting to kill Americans with no incentives. Or real terrorist cells.

I bet the word got out through the community (nation) pretty darn fast. Mission accomplished. This is the land of free social services, play by the rules or rot in prison. Since this was controlled and the bombs & stinger were never going to be armed, ten years will probably be enough years to sink the message. Anything over that, you're wasting my tax dollars. This was a very biased opinion piece and showed the convicted men's argument. But so much of it was the opinion of parents, friends and the defense attorneys. What else are they going to say?
