The movie is new of its kind in the Hollywood industry. After almost 22 years from the release date of Thelma & Louise movie, Hollywood surprised the fans with another action movie centered on female leads only. In this movie, Hollywood crossed so many stereotypical themes by having two female leads and no male to even support in an action movie. Also the female leads chosen are talented actresses over forty years, which is unusual to be seen on screen. Usually with most action movie, male leads will be needed and females will be used as supporting cast after they pass the Hollywood standard beauty. Actresses should be at certain age, shape, and look in order to get the part in the movie. Another surprise the fans didn’t expect is that the movie, among very few other movies, passed the Bechdel Test. The movie focused on developing the characters of the female leads to solve the case and ignored the need of male to be the center of all conversations. The movie presented many issues females face in male dominant field. The female leads were misjudged, underestimated, and avoided because of some personal traits or work behavior that they have. Women in the workplace struggle against the limitation placed on them by their gender role, and men tend to be rewarded for being masculine and ambitious.
