Agreed 100% with this review. Just watched it and yeah, visually impressive, but I really didn't give a shit about anything that happened. Such a very difficult film to get invested in.

I'm getting tired of this. There was a B+ review for this film on this site two months ago, now it's a bad movie? At least do a point/counterpoint type thing or mention the other review. You've made it clear that The Playlist has many different contributors and what not, but it's just confusing to read this site and see contradicting film reviews all the time. It'd be different if your film reviewers were more well known or something, but they're not. At the end of the day, I'm going to go into a film with my own expectations, and ultimately, my own opinion. It just seems a little dishonest to me, though, to see you get behind a film and then do a complete 180 on it.

What a load of nonsense. This lifelong Tintin fan absolutely loved this joyous reincarnation of a childhood hero. It's the most joyful film of the year… by miles. Can't recommmend it enough to everyone.

Correction, this film was NOT adapted from HergÃ©'s first three comic books. Those concerned Tintin's adventures in Russia, Africa and America.
