"As is, scenes and transitions are choppy and awkward…" Usually when a story doesn\’t make sense and is described as choppy and awkward etc. it comes down to post production, the editing. Who knows, maybe footage was lost, and they didn\’t have the budget for a re-shoot and the editor had to do the best they could with what they had? I don\’t know, but I can\’t believe that this A-listers would have signed on if the script they obviously read before signing on, was horrible.

susanne bier is not a bad directory by any means. After the Wedding, In a Better World, Brothers, and Things We Lost in the Fire are all above grade films, two even considered great films. this one, however, must have got away from her.

The movie is not that bad…Jennifer Lawrence is amazing to watch as always and she does a great job with what she is given. Bradley Cooper\’s accent on the other hand is just terrible and throws you off. With a better director/screenwriter this movie could have been great…The novel was weird but very good.
