I still found the movie to be much better than the recent crap like terminator 5 or the most recent fantastic 4 remake or Antman or … oh god I could go on. At the very least there was some acting, some story, might not have been the best movie, but it was decent compared to what came out the last years honestly.

@Gentle Hoe – A little constructive criticism from his readership, so yes, I believe I am in a legitimate position to say such things. His job relies on the consumption needs of nitpickers such as myself, so I think my feedback is appropriate. Bad advice can always be ignored, but good advice withheld can be harmful.

What the heck happened to Tarsem anyway? I thought his career trajectory was supposed to more in line with a Malick sort of thing and then he fires out a string of commercial products in quick succession.

Kevin, I find your reviews to be some of the more level-headed here at Playlist. However, you definitely need to develop your own voice, a kind of "hook" that allows readers to know they\’re reading a Kevin Jagernauth review. Especially on a movie like this, where you give it an F. C\’mon! Give me some more colorful insults, show me what an "F" level movie actually feels like to Kevin Jagernauth.

On another note, Tarsem Singh\’s movie all overreach intellectually. It seems like he doesn\’t have much going in the brains department, but, if, as you say, even he signature visual flair is gone in this film, then it must truly be a bankrupt work.
