Like so many romantic comedies, this is a fantasia for women on the topic of "What if the people you gave your life taking care of actually took care of you for once?" As such, it needs to be emotionally resonant even if factually weak.
When her friend is on Facetime telling her that she is a hero for guilting her ex into doing the right thing, she is speaking for the target audience of the film.

You are right. The story is not realistic but is far fetched. It is a fantasy. But that doesn\'t mean that it doesn\'t carry emotional truth and satisfaction for many women.

Wow, Leslie Bibb looks almost normal in these shots. For a while, she was starting to look like Angie Dickinson, Jr. or something with all the injections and crap she was having done.
