For the record, since I am unfairly maligned above, the $100 check pictured in the film was the first payment of what would have been a substantial sum for Peter should the film have gotten made. This is typical of option agreements that they are tiered. I also note that this money was coming out of my pocket, not a studio, and I did not see anyone else lining up to offer to make an option agreement with Peter. The payment was fair and just. Also, to correct the record, my dream casting was Brando and Nicholson, but unfortunately Marlon died before being presented with the project, which I know he would have loved.
