Life is uneven.

We should celebrate this deviation from cookie-cutter character development and traditional plot evolution. Plus, this show is far too young to simply declare it uneven or decide two characters are valued more than others.

Really? Doesn't anyone have a problem with the lcd representation of women in this dreck? Between Marnie debasing herself and Hannah's lack of outrage (or spine for that matter), Gloria S. and company must be frothing at the mouth. Take another step back "gurlz" the boyz are winning!

The show would be so much better with less Hannah's storyline and more Jessa's.
Hannah just makes me embarrassed, like I feel ashamed by just watching it.
Marnie is more real, she's the girl you know/once knew that seemed perfect at the beginning but once you got to know her you knew she was unhappy.
Jessa is less real than Marnie, but she's like the kind of free spirit you sometimes wish you were, but you never had the balls to do what she does.
I'm not a huge Shoshanna fan, she is like Hannah – everytime I see her she makes me embarrassed for her

The show is extremely uneven. The comedic tonal shifts in this episode were jarring. The broad, gross, awkward scene of Hannah and her boss, then later Hannah and Adam, did not juxtapose well with the intimate, emotional unfolding between Marie and Charlie at all. Watching it was extremely uncomfortable.

I'm so sick of some constantly bitching about this show, if you don't like it don't watch it. Right now, this show is simply the best new comedy on TV. I love every second of it.
