Honestly I loved this movie, it was following in the feel of the satirical nature of the first 3 movies (By the way, the third movie was being satirical of the idea of a trilogy and not hollywood itself, the setting was incidental) and as a reboot/remake satire it ticked the boxes. The original (Sidney) was acknowledged but only directly used very few times, the kids new almost as much about the original killings as the people who lived them (Which was a nice touch) and they all knew the rules had changed and there really wasn\'t any restrictions on who could die and it was refreshing to see. I doubt they\'ll be able to keep this up if they so Scream 5, but I didn\'t think that they\'d make Scream 4 work and in my view they managed to pull it off

I somewhat agree with this review, but I think you missed the whole point of this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this film because I didn\'t \'expect\' anything from it. I didn\'t \'expect\' it to be a new revitalizing installment in a groundbreaking horror franchise. I just accepted it as a fun, goofy, entertaining scary movie. when you strip down all the pretense, it\'s actually a pretty smart horror film especially compared to what\'s been released over the past 10 years.

It got so repetitious and monotonous by Scream 3. This will just be another generic and derivative horror movie. I’m really worried that they will make Scream 5 and it will feature the entire casts of One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The O.C., 90210, The Jersey Shore, Glee, The Only Way Is Essex, Smallville, The Hills, The City, Laguna Beach and Melrose Place.
