James Woods was great. I hated him, as intended. I also hated his daughter, and I\’m not sure that was intended. I was delighted and squealed audibly when the bad guys got nailed, whacked and shot! I never saw the original, either, and am wondering if there was a slant toward the women being the cause of their own, and others\’, woes?

Just saw this movie, wanted to see that cute girl in the orange top at the bonfire. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really was. I never saw \”the original\”, I was only 9 when it came out, so this is original to me. And I think that it stands firm on its own merits.

It is disappointing that they are showing little to nothing of James Woods in this. Straw Dogs will mark his only return to the big screen since An American Carol (2008). I wish he would do more mainstream movies like he used to.
