Please tell me you are joking.
This movie was fantastic.
But, of course you have to go and pick it apart and hate on it.
That being said, I'm sure if YOU had the chance to make a movie, it'd just darn well be the best movie the world has ever seen right? Give the people who made the movie credit were it's due. Instead of focusing on all the negative, revel in the concept and paradigm the movie tries to take you to.

I hope you read this, and I don't expect it will make it to the comments section because you probably hate anyone disagreeing with you.

I haven't seen "Repo Men" yet, but it's the same concept, I'm not sure about the execution. In terms of history, "Men" was in development/production when "Genetic Opera" came out (I think it sat on the shelf for awhile, never a good sign for quality), but "Opera" had been performed onstage for 10 years before the movie was put into production, and I know Darren Bousman had been attached to the project for several years (maybe even before his stint with "Saw"), so who knows who cribbed from who, or if it's just unfortunate timing to have the same idea– like two Capote biopics coming out at the same time.

I've seen both movies. There's nearly no relation.

That being said, Repo The Genetic Opera has a scene where that rich blond socialite's face falls off, so it's worth seeing for that.

I was wondering what you guys think about the controversy between this movie and Repo! The Genetic Opera. Apparently, there are quite a few similarities between the two movies, and it's got a lot of fans in an indie uproar along the lines of "how dare Hollywood steal the idea from our beloved indie production." I'm just curious what critics think about this.
