Are you kidding? Seriously? A movie named "Piranha 3 DOUBLE D" and you think it's serious?
Neither of the remake versions were anything but comedies – even the fish are rendered
in Pixar cartoonish nonseriousness.

The review makes sense to me according to what I've seen/read. Now, to look back at Aja's (dibs on the n word) film as some kind of ironic gem … com'on. The punchline 'Saving Private Ryan for the Jersey Shore generation' is damn fine though, but I'll focus on the Jersey shore part. Sometimes tongue in cheek is just dumb trying to look smart (and Aja did it with Hills have eyes) .
