While I have no doubt that this film is hysterical nonsense, I encourage everyone interested in the case to watch Vikram Jayanti's doc The Agony and the Ecstasy of Phil Spector. I came away from it feeling that there was a reasonable doubt due to the forensics evidence presented by the defense. Now, that doesn't mean I think Phil Spector is a swell guy; he's a psychopath at the best of times and his treatment of others over the years is despicable and disturbing. But he's a fascinating figure that it looks like Mamet has failed to understand. Still, I'm gonna watch this movie because it looks hilarious.
