I started reading Percy Jackson after I finished the Harry Potter series. The books are much, MUCH better than the movies. I remember walking out of the theater after Lightning Thief just feeling cheated. They completely changed the story and didn't pay attention to detail. I was hoping they'd fix things for the second movie.
