I thought the third installment of “Paranormal Activity” was hilarious considering how big cameras were back in the 80’s. I find it hard to believe anyone would hold onto those chunky things while trying to escape a demon. I was talking about going to see the fourth film with a co-worker from DISH, just to see if the film might take an interesting new direction, but we are unsure about seeing this in theaters. I think we are going to wait until this movie is released on DVD. I will add this to my Blockbuster @home account, the shipping is fast, and when I’m done I can return it to the store for another movie in my queue. I think the fans of the first three movies will continue to go see these films out of simple curiosity.

I'm stunned at how they keep pulling it off. If you look at the cast and crew list on IMDB, it's barely a page of credits. They pump these things out and they keep printing money. Here is my pick for most hilarious bad review (most are terrible) from a Finnish film critic tired of it all.

Google: Paranormal Activity 4 and Kimmo Mustonenen

The one interesting moment in the 3rd film is when the guy combine a camera to a fan and somehow invent a CCTV device (was that a MCGyver reference ? naa). Seriously though 80's or not that movie was terrible even before the awful ending. Ironically (but as often w/ horror franchises) it's by trying to build some kind of mythology that they went out of the line. So if this one is worse ... dunno I'm still curious ... I'll take found footage over torture porn anytime. We'll see where the upcoming remakes will take us.
