I think the term is misused in this article. According to Wikipedia, Eve studied English at Oxford, though she did perform in a few plays while there. Classically trained would imply a much greater immersion in theater, performing in and studying numerous classic plays. The term usually also involves drama school, which she didn't attend. She also appears to have never appeared on stage professionally.
