Although I would have to agree with this film in terms of how many women seem to represent visual prostitution within the media, I would rename the film "Miss-guided." First of all, the feminist women who are glorified in this film, are the same women who stood behind the sexual revolution of the 1960's. That doesn't have anything to do with what sex has become? Then there is the issue of abortion, supported by the same women. If you don't respect the rights of your own offspring, how do you expect to achieve the respect you are all talking about? The most impressive quote in the film was, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."- Gandhi
Maybe we need to start by teaching our "own" children what respect actually means. Oh wait, children belong in day care, while mothers go off and do something more important. I almost forgot.

Thanks Kevin! Sounds like they do things right in your neck of the woods! I took video production and a pop culture studies elective in high school, and even those helped so much in understanding media around us. Makes me feel good about the field I\’m in right now.

Reminds me of a film made in the 80s by a professor from UMass(?) whose name, I think, is Sut Jhally. It\’s called Dream Worlds. It really opened my eyes to the effects of the media\’s constant bombardment of our conciousnesses with a very narrow range of images of women. It\’s a miracle that we have our Sandra Day O\’Connors, Hillary Clintons, Condoleeza Rices, Rachel Maddows, and Oprah Winfreys! Bravo to those who made this new film possible–let\’s do what we can to make sure it is seen, felt and acted upon!
