Your focus on that is misplaced, although I agree the film is all over the place and doesn't develop or show its characters enough to involve us, but that is not the same as "sympathetic" leads.

I looked at the official IFC Films site and finally found a page for the film buried there, looks like it comes out Friday. Seems publicity for the release is being handled by the Witness Protection Program, yikes!
