"LA2000" and "James" get a life. I just wasted a few minutes of my life reading your stupid comments and there's no question asked. I didn't really like "Guardians of the Galaxy" but I have more things to do that being upset at a critic because a review I don't agree with, of a movie that is that irrelevant anyways. Discuss movies like "The Master" or "Holy Motors" or even " Nymphomaniac" but not because of movies like this. This is a good review as it is usual in The Playlist.

Did any of you knew by the way that the writer who created the Rocket Raccoon was a victim of some kind of a terrible hit-and-run accident in the 90â²s and has to be under constant medical attention ever since? He can barely speak and his family blames the insurance company for his current state.

i highly agree with your review. i loved the movie, but the bad guy was wasted. i think he could have been a really epic figure. glad that marvel is being adventurous in it's casting and film choices!

If I may be so bold as to read between the lines, your breathless praise (best Marvel ever) mixed with a healthy dose of equivocation makes your review sound as if you didn't actually care for the movie but are afraid to say so. Whether this is a result of a "Stockholm Syndrome"-esque fear of Marvel fanboy outrage or a concern that being on the wrong side of public consensus will undermine your own credibility, the whole review reads like you are hedging.

In the bubble of film blog criticism, this film, with its tidal wave of marketing and brand momentum, may feel like a red wire/blue wire moment. It is not. In 6 months, no one will even be able to recall with any degree of certainty which year "Guardians of the Galaxy" came out.

So please man up and tell us what you really think. We promise not to hold it against you.
