WHO asked for it? --needs it?

Scorssese was once a promising film-maker.

I love Leo but this movie sounds loud and Obnoxious. I want to punch everyone on screen every time I see the trailers. Why does Hollywood love to glorify this garbage? They already have a T.V show about douche bags like Jordan Belfort called "American greed scams." And a lot of times those documentary T.V shows are way more accurate than the hyped up over produced, over budgeted crappy movies that Hollywood loves spewing out. But I guess having a super star play the douche bag tool makes the story more legit right? This ugly douche doesn't deserve to have Leo Dicpario playing him. I wish Dicpario would start picking movies that are actually entertaining instead of playing real life weirdos in ridiculous over dramatized re-enactments. I don't care if he thinks it is "art." It's not....

Obviously a very talented director. Unquestioned.
My objection is he gets a free pass. The thought pattern is he is a great director and therefore (it goes without saying)….all of his work is great. Shouldn't work that way. Its not and "Wolf" is an example.
Like Bill the Butcher in Gangs and Joe Pesci's character in Goodfellas, Jordan Belfort's character is so over-the-top,its almost cartoonish. Nothing subtle. No scene left to the interpretation of the viewer. Why suggest squishing a guy's head in a vise when you can just show it, eyeballs and all. His direction lacks discipline and his rooting fans never point that out.
He is the darling of the critics because he is innovative, tells morality tales , uses New York as an extra and gets strong performances out of his actors. Leo was terrific in this film but in my opinion, films should not be made to wow critics. The bottom line is that movie goers dish out $10 to see a quality piece of work and for the reasons given, I don't think they always get that.
