I have no personal dislike/like for Diablo Cody or her work overall, but I don\’t believe I could write that Jennifer\’s Body was underrated with a straight face and still hope everyone would take what I wrote seriously. I\’m not going to say the film was bad but it is one of those rare films that\’s accurately rated in regard to the vast minefield-laden terrain of film criticism.

Echoing the first commentator, i found this review to be piss poor, although to be expected when seeing its author to be rodrigo perez. My biggest bane from the review was no the spoiler filled content but the constant bashing of the writer diablo cody.
I find her to be a great writer providing interesting and dynamic characters for women. Juno(great film), YOUNG ADULT(one of the best films in the last five years) Jennifer\’s body(underrated) united states of tara…She is such a talent and i for one am sick of her being written off that her whole career is down to dumb luck.
I understand the reviewer may just dislike all of cody\’s films, but there is no need for a review of one of her films to be so vitriolic towards her mentioning her several times throughout in such a flippant and condescending manner. She does deserve respect as a writer and all shes accomplished in a mans world that is hollywood.
Perez comes off as a pompous hipster who has to dislike something because of its popularity.
