Honestly, who would give Tarsem such a huge budget w/o a strong screenplay? Oh right, Relativity Media. The man is as dynamic an artistic eye as you're likely to find, but he more often than not is attached to poorly written projects. The Fall is his only one that works on all levels because it was personal to him & he actually worked on the screenplay. Otherwise all we get is his a look into his mind's art direction. And it was resolutely ignored when it was one of the more original films of the decade.
