So just to clear things, the person who posted Cory Everret I believe has seen all of the episodes, since there was no sign of Ashley Shaffer or this pitching phenom in the premiere episode. Also presumably Ashley Shaffer now runs a KIA instead of a BMW dealership like he did in the first season. All in all a good post though, one of the best comedies on television for sure.

i like this show quite a bit, but am not willing to give hill the high brow praise he is apparently looking for. ok, so the show makes fun of pompous rednecks in an obvious way…great… not all that revolutionary. its funny as hell, but i dont think the intellectual message aim was all that high in the beginning

The show can definitely surprise you with it's emotional moments, especially in season 2. There was an episode that ended with a beautiful shot of Kenny riding a roller coaster with his girlfriend (whose name I forget) and her son. The other was towards the end of the season when he showed up to a game drunk and stormed onto the field. The later especially really hammered home the sense of just-barely controlled chaos the show does very well.
