					<description><![CDATA[I wasn&#x27;t thrilled with &#034;World&#x27;s Greatest Dad&#034; -- interesting premise but I felt the humor was too obvious -- and I have similar feelings with &#034;God Bless America,&#034; though I find it much better effort.

All in all I agree with the grade, but I disagree with this one assessment: I don&#x27;t think that the director really champions the protagonists. Yes, the speeches get insanely repetitive (and they are from an honest place, just exaggerated and amplified wildly), but that was the point. In theory, the audience would be cheering for Frank&#x27;s mission at first, but by the third or fourth rant (not to mention the targets going from frustrating TV pundits to annoying movie theater patrons) they&#x27;d realize how insane he was, and, in a &#034;Funny Games&#034; esque move, that they were cheering for murder.

Of course I&#x27;m not sure how effective this choice was. It honestly just makes the movie feel overlong.]]></description>
