Fans are funny. I was completely focused and NOT muddled at 28. You are talking like this guy is 13 years old. By the way It does seem like a 13 year old made this movie.

Highly recommended I'm not sure who pays this guy to review movies but one thing I can say this film definitely explores the more human side to a high school shooting.

I'm a little late to the party here, but this film incites a lot of conversations that the reviewer doesn't examine. Why don't we see more about the people holding the camera? Why don't they say something? Because they are us. "The Dirties" doesn't just blame the shooter, it blames all the people who watched the bullying take place, without speaking up. We forget that the person behind the camera is even there, is even part of the story, just like we forget our own power to change people's lives.

Obviously, it's the cameramen who have the final cut of the film, and they neatly edit themselves almost entirely out of the footage, just like most of us who see others bullied and don't do anything to stop it edit our own responsibility out of the story we tell to explain it.

I found the film hilarious, insightful and chilling, three adjectives you don't often see used simultaneously. It deserves a deeper look than this reviewer gave it.

terribly biased review , it seems that the reviewer didn't even watch the movie thoroughly , they fail to adress the main underlying theme of divulging higschool friendships due to various social pressures. Also the reviewer claims both boys go into a descent when the film really just focuses on one

It should be mentioned that this movie is the first attempt by a 28 year-old writer/director. I believe that whatever most of us was doing at 28 was a little unfocused and muddled, too. And the fact it was made on a shoestring budget of $10k (as other reviews pointed out) might be an interesting tidbit for your audience. Maybe it isn't the slick Hollywood star-vehicle that you complain about on this site all the time…and maybe that is a good thing.
