Frances Ha seemed underwritten, failed to approach the rhythms of real-life speech, and Gerwig couldn&#x27;t make it seem as if she inhabited the part or meant those clunky lines. (And she sure doesn&#x27;t convince as a dancer - whose idea was that?) It showed how good Diane Keaton is - although she did have better material to work with. The theme of female friendship was wasted.]]></description>
