very disappointing after all the hype.walking out of theatres being sick etc.Not my 101min version.unless all the blackout transitions to next scene are actually cut outs.disappointing.

Roth\’s idea of horror is presenting the crimson latex-laden version of a running joke that spans at feature length. The punchline being that the studio now has your money.

Been waiting ages to see this movie. it wont live up to the hype, Knock Knock was utter shite. I read this book about cannibalism and it was pretty disgusting/gory. worth checking out if your into that kinda thing. It is called Devour by Dan Moxham. Now that is very un-PC and unhinged. Anyway looking forward to seeing the film when it is released in the UK.

Saw this at TIFF 2013 and knew even then that it would get a mountain of bad reviews that would just make people want to see it even more! As noted in this review — and it\’s true — Roth hasn\’t matured very much as a director, and beyond the spot-on takedown of college liberals and their silly causes, he hasn\’t improved at all as a writer of dialogue. But a movie like this is all about the gore, and by leading off with the fat (and black, ahem) dude getting literally torn apart while still alive, Roth pretty much rubs your face in it. He never really tops that scene, but the thought of it keeps you wondering who dies next and how (and how messily). While I didn\’t love it, I certainly hated it less than his three previous features, and that\’s gotta count for something!
