This article was extremely well written and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The mix of blunt, del toro and deakins cinematography was the perfect storm to create a fresh drug thriller. While overall the story seems recycled the overall delivery feels very original.

I saw this tonight and thought B was a little generous. Literally almost nothing happened and it was really slow. Yes, lots of gunfire and lots of underhanded action in what is ultimately a film that goes nowhere. Moral dilemmas, sure, but a disappointing conclusion. It doesn\'t end so much as just peter out. DelToro was excellent, but he\'s been there, done that. This wasn\'t a stretch for him. Emily Blunt is a great actress and this proves it if there was any doubt, because she\'s absolutely magnetic on screen, even when she has so little to do. TBH, I had a problem with the script, direction and cinematography. The film was way too dark for much of the time. There were a few new, shocking scenes, but that was like 5 minutes out of a two hour film. I don\'t understand all the hype for this movie, it\'s not that special.
