Finally a review on this film I can totally agree with. It\’s been unfairly dismissed IMO. It\’s Russell\’s most successful post-Huckabees film I\’d argue.

Jennifer Lawrence is lovely, but I really hope to see her snubbed because this role and this partnership is just a boring replay.

Charlize Theron, Regina Casé, Rooney Mara, Alicia Vikander are more worthy of a Leading Actress nomination.

At first I thought Joy\’s absence in the awards circuit was because critics hadn\’t seen it, but know I see that it sits at a 45 percent on RT. I\’m glad you liked it though, but my guess now is it won\’t be a major player like we expected.
