I am a big fan of most Hero movies so it’s hard for me to really dislike these types of movies but as stated in your view, the way this felt more grounded like the 2nd Capt. America movie makes it that much more enjoyable. Only minor quibble is the unexplained ease with which Tony finds and recruits Peter Parker. Having video footage of Spidey in action does not lead to knowing his alter ego. One that Peter has protected quite fiercely in the comics (although I am at least 15 years out of touch with how story lines have gone), aside from him sharing it with Mary Jane.

Other than that, any other issues were too small to bother me and I enjoyed watching it thoroughly. I hope the WB/DC took notes and come out with a great Justice League movie because that franchise has great potential too.
