What Veterans are saying about the 'contrived melodrama' Least Among Saints:

"As real as it gets. An accurate depiction of war's effect on warriors, their lives and families. A must see."
"A too-familiar story of what our veterans face when they return from war"
Floyd "Shad" Meshad, LCSW, CTS, TFTdx
President & Founder, National Veterans Foundation

"This is a great film...poignant and uplifting...Proud to support...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”Â

While watching Least Among Saints I was impressed at the deep sensitivity to vets trapped in the horror of war and the pervasive portrayal of that human cost of war. It is an excellent film that elicits hope for healing us all through regaining our humanity and love for the Other. I was even more impressed when I realized that the writer Marty Papizan was also director and main actor in the film. Marty bestows to us a visceral understanding of the impact that war and the veterans return home has on all of us, if we take the time to listen. Please support this film. It shows on Oct. 12. Please forward widley.

Least Among Saints is a fantastic and thought-provoking movie that does a very good job of showing the average person what our military and veterans go through emotionally and mentally upon their return home from war:  marital issues and divorce, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, run-ins with the law, and guilt over actions they had to take during combat.  It is easy for the casual observer to place our military men and women on a high pedestal and forget that they too are human and have struggles resulting from war and injuries sustained in war.  The movie does a very good job of showing these difficult issues with which a veteran struggles.  The struggles shown in the movie are hard to watch for those of us who have lived the life, but we are glad they were shown so that the average person can understand.  Although these difficult issues play a major role in the movie, the most important messages to be taken from the movie are the importance of compassion, forgiveness, and most of all, hope.  All it takes is a few people to make a difference in a veteran’s life, to give a veteran hope for the better.  This movie can definitely show the American public how they too can make a difference in the lives of our combat veterans.
