how the heck have Clive Owen never been nominated for an oscar
hes such an underrated and talented actor. i thought he was snub for his performance in the movies Closer & Trust.

it's one thing to whisper into the phone when the brothers speak to each other but at least they should speak clearly enough so the audience could understand them. Crudup's mustache got in the way of his lips so his enunciation was very poor as was, in general, the dialogue between Chris and his x-wife, whose accent did not help her english pronunciation. Worst of all, was the editing; short 30 second scenes were injected without any flow connecting one to the other. It might work in french films not in a good American gangster movie. The sets/clothes were very authentic but that's not enough to carry a move.

I thought this was an excellent film. Schoenaerts was great.
