When I first heard about Bait, I thought it was a SyFy “original movie”, but then I learned that it was actually going to be shown in theaters. I have a great use for movies like Bait. A couple of my DISH coworkers and I have a weekly contest to see who can find the best B movie On Demand or for rent. I know I have a shot at winning with Bait and its flooded shark supermarket, but the fact that we will be watching this cheese fest in 3D through my Hopper DVR assures me a victory for this week. Now I can start looking through all of the On Demand stuff for next weeks “winner”.

From your review, I guess not. This production had a 20 Million budget – and one can see that. Great effects, gruesome details – even a plot. The movie does not belong imnto the B category. It's a solid horror shocker – in quality 3D!
