First, Craig *is* the quasi-leader (meaning, sort of but not really at all) at the beginning of the film and obviously as my review takes pains to do, I avoid running down the plot turns and shifting dynamics to prevent spoiling the film.

Secondly, all you Scorsese/Coppola fans need to give it a rest. I'm not saying Michod puts their films in the toilet but that this one deserves to stand alongside them. As far as depictions of crime family pictures go, this is one of the best and definitely one of the most original I've ever seen.

And there is definitely at least one Playlist staffer who thinks "Goodfellas" is pretty overrated overall.
